Removal of all ABC components
Hi,
I got the coil over conversion but now there is a very loud audible clicking sound emitting from my left driver's side, right outside of the parking brake area. I highly suspect it is the pulsating dampener of the ABC. It's basically useless for me and I want to see if I can just singularly remove it. If not, then I would need to find someone else to remove the entire system completely like in one of the PDF I have attached.
I also wanted to ask if the system can be shutdown by STAR programming. What I mean is, are all the components computer controlled and it can be told to shut down by telling it to stop be functioning, or simply put, no longer supply pressure throughout the system anymore?
My guess is no, but worth a shot to ask.

Pulsation dampers only matter if there's fluid pressure, they are like a balloon, they don't do anything mechanical.
You can code out the ABC, search for the coding thread started by Pmercury, it has all the info.

Yeah you'd have to remove the pump. The suction restrictor valve defaults to open I believe, so if you disconnect it you will get full pressure, not low pressure.
If you've pulled the struts, what do you still have connected to the pump?
There are several schools of though as far as disabling/removing the ABC goes. I prefer to fix and keep it but I know that's not for everyone.

i had the same problem might be one of the abc hoses rubbing againt the wheel. take off wheel and inspect hoses make sure they are out off the way. also check for cv joint boot cracks that will also cause noise.
