Cool [2004 SL55 95,000 Miles] New owner, any tips/warnings/mods?

Hey there fellas! As the title says, I am the new owner of a 2004 SL55 AMG with 95K miles on it, no mods, 99% stock (aftermarket wheels). I was wondering if you guys had any tips or warnings or just things I need to look out for. Also, any mods/bodykits to kick this badboy into 5th gear?

Save your money for repairs. First thing I would do is price the spring and shock conversion because your ABC pump will probably go at any time unless previously replaced. The roof hydraulics will probably need some attention, the trunk closer, and keyless go door handles if so equipped. I'm sure I'm probably forgetting a few maintenance items.

yea don't forget its getting in the range of needing a new SBC unit, replacing the plastic gear selector with a metal one, the top hinge flap covers, all the plastic idler pulleys, the 3 underhood abc hoses, all 4 abc accumulators, and changing all fluids (including a full tranny flush and replace with the newest spec fluid) would also be wise. the fully and properly bleed the sbc brake system you need STAR and a motive power bleeder. the tranny fluid can be flushed by taking off the return line and letting it pump all the old fluid out. also replace the filter and the electrical connector plug. the plugs have a tendency, especially the older ones, to leak and allow fluid to wick up through the wires and into the tcu computer in the passenger footwell, which can ruin it. the rear diff is like any other rear diff. the engine oil has 2 drain plus and you must replace both drain plugs and the crush washers on each every time.
