Can someone help confirm this.....I am ordering a 2005 SL55 and my dealer said Aluminum trim is not an option. At another dealer a week ago I saw this trim choice listed on his computer screen but he doesn't have any early allocations.

I can order now from a July delivery but would really like to know if aluminum trim is not available.

A quick response is appreciated if you can help me out.

Yes, the Aluminum Trim will be available on the MY05 SL55's. The option code is 739 and I updated an '05 in our Netstar system with option and it was accepted. The only reason I can think of that they would tell you this is that the car is already past the cut off for changes, but if it is an '05 that should not be the case!! Thanks Markcus. It is great to have a helpful and knowledgeable dealer on this board. This means that the one dealer who told me aluminum trim was cancelled is lying to me so I am not going to do business with them even if I have a longer wait for the car.

My dealer is similarly either uninformed or tight on the details. I have a slot for a June build. Any idea what the changes are for 2005 besides the DVD Nav? Any word on the stereo or the 7G transmission. Also, any news on any options that might be delayed in availability?

definitely no 7G, and almost positive there is an uprated sound system, I think its still Bose.
