new wheels for 2009 sl65

My factory 19" sl65 wheels are

Front 8.5 x 19 with 30mm offset
Rear 9.5 x 19 with 31 mm offset

with Tires
Front 255 35 19
Rear 285 30 19

I am trying to find new black wheels and find a lot of OEM mercedes (which Id like to stay with) staggered sets that are
front 8.5 x 19 w 38 offset
rear 9.5 x 19 with 38 offset,

using the mbworld wheel calculator, both my wheels/tires will move in by 8mm ... will this work?

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
Ive always tried to have 25-30 ET. I dont know if 8mm will hit anything on the inside, probably not, but you can put a 5-10mm spacer on them and you will be back to 28ET
Just be aware that all r230 wheels will fit all r230s. When you start fishing around for wheels off other cars you are up for experimentation & trouble.
Just buy r230 wheels.

Also, if you put spacers on, you should get new lug bolts that are the equivalent increase in length to the width of your spacers. Common opinion with Porsche guys (especially tracking) is that you should have a minimum of 9 revolutions of threads attaching the wheel to the axle F& R.

Clearance to the front upper balljoint seems pretty tight on these r230s. Moving the front wheels in further by nearly 10mm might be trouble with certain tire sizes. I would try to keep the back spacing as close to stock as possible. If that means using spacers to correct the offset, then so be it. Gary made an excellent point about the lug bolts as well!

Moving the the front wheels in would also narrow the front track, changing the vehicle dynamics slightly and perhaps above all might look a bit goofy

Those offsets are common for the other cars such as the E and C. You need to find other wheels. I think I chose some 32 mm offset wheels
