Bought a new SL55 last week.
Thanks to so many on this and the SL forum for your help. Last Thursday I bought an SL 55 from Contemporary Motors in Little Silver, NJ. The car is Brilliant Silver/AMG Ash/Dark Ash, 5 spoke AMG wheels with Ventilated Saets, Tire PMS, Bi-Xenon and Keyless Go. I have to say that the buying experience at Contemporary and my sales person, Tim Welsh, were excellent. He let me drive a car they had on the showroom floor on 2 ocassions (one extensively) and alone. They offered me a good price upfront and bent over backwards to find me the car I wanted (swapped). Other dealers were not enthusiastic about a test drive and did not extend any optimism about finding me the right car. They were pushing to get me to take what they had or order an 05. I liked Tim and the dealership so much that if the service experience is like the purchase experience, they have a customer for life (as long as the product is enjoyable)! Highly recommended.
I love the car. It is really intense and so much fun. I'm bringing it to the dealer to straighten out a couple of memory issues tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help.

I forgot to mention that the owner came out to say hello on my second test drive. He was very interested and nice. He was also there to congratulate me when I went to pick up the car. These guys truly seem to believe in the long term. The best car buying experience ever.
