SL - quiet with roof up?
Hey guys,
I'm glad I found this forum as I'm putting a deposit down on a SL600. Having not driven one extensively on the freeway with the top up, what is the cabin "ambience" like? As in, is it as quiet as a coupe? Wind noise? Tire noise? I know some folks have had probs with a rattling roof - how have the recent ('03 '04 build) cars been in this regard?

THe SL's are very quite for a roadster wit the roof up, almost like a coupe with no leaking roofs or air rustling or whistling. As for rattling roofs, that was fixed a while back, 03 I think. In fact I heard you could drive with the roof down at 100kmh and a match wouldn't blow out!

I have no complaints with the Roof on. There is only a little bit of wind noise from the Mirror areas other than that the car is very quiet. Also driving a SL600 is one awesome machine!!
