Alcantara roof lining
Anyone got pics with the alcantara roof lining, (both pano and steel top would be great).. checked out an SL55 today with the standard off-white roof lining and it looked surprisingly cheap.
Also does anyone know if the new SLK with have an alcantara roof lining option??

alcantara roof lining
as of right now mb does not show alcantara as being an option in the slk, checked in net star under order configuration, but thats not to say that they may bring it out later in the year

Both the roof and the intrument pod is covered in the stuff...and it looks and feels GREAT!

I agree, the alcantara lining looks and feels great.
The first time I sat in an '03 SL500 (while the SL55 was on order) I was surprised of how cheesy the standard roof lining looked and felt. It somewhat also made the exposed interior mechanism somewhat more apparent (but I guess that could have been the color too).
Btw. the alcantara is only standard on the US edition Sl55's, in Europe it is an option (I believe only standard on the designo options)
