I've found so much useful info here on the forum, so a general "thanks" to everyone for the information you share.

I have an SL55 which has a long-standing problem... which I'll post about shortly. However, before that there's something that's always been on my mind - I really don't know what to expect from my SL55, never having driven another one.

So this is going to be quite a specific question, but I'd appreciate the help...

Anyone else with a pretty much stock 2002 (ish) SL55... let's say you put you car into 'manual' mode, and drive along in 3rd gear at 30mph. Now, put your foot to the floor. What happens? What kind of acceleration do you get? How long does it take to get to 40? to 50? to 60? I'm not necessarily asking for accurate readings, just kind of ball-park figures. Why? Just a nagging doubt about my car's lower rev performance. Knowing how it compares might help identify the problem the car has.

So any info would be much appreciated!
