2001 CLK 55 AMG.......... 2001 Corvette Z06.........
quick few questions about the 6.0
so out of random curiosity...........is there a major difference between the fire-breathing v12's such as the ones that come in the SL65 AMG and the n/a ones that came in the previous generation SL600's?
I am mainly curious about the construction of the block and heads so in theory(all tuning aside) if I took one of these engines and boosted.......would it be as reliable at the same power levels as the SL65AMG?
Secondly, does anyone have any idea how it compares in dimension to the mercedes 5.5 v8?
I see the 6.0 will interchange with the 5.5L in the SL platform but what about a tighter platform such as a CLK that came with a 5.5?

Second question you're not getting the V12 into a CLK without a major major revision or reconstruction. Highly doubt it especially with boost. It barely fits in the SL65.
