So now that speedriven is gone and I can’t by their down pipes I’m not sure what to do. My stock SL 65 is way too quiet I am looking to give it a more aggressive sound but I don’t want to do something that’s going to result in droning in the cabin nor can I remove the cats. I don’t think a resonator delete by itself will make enough of a Difference. I had considered doing some exhaust cutouts but I am interested in hearing what other opinions you guys might have.

With the SL65 (and SL600) I believe you can just remove the mufflers and have straight pipes. Gets you some better sound and lose some weight on the beast. I think there are a lot of Youtube videos on this topic.

I've read that removing the mufflers and going with straight pipes produces a lot of drone in the cabin.

I disagree. I modified my first SL65 by essentially removing the mufflers only. I drove for 30,000 miles that way; no issues.
On my second SL65, I decided to do down pipes and leave the mufflers alone; again, no drone or issues.

IMO, down pipes with factory mufflers (which are a straight through design), sounds a bit more aggressive. The muffler delete without any other exhaust modification sounded the same just greatly amplified.

I have no cats and no mufflers and it's droney, especially with the top down. Thinking of putting magnaflows on it, but I doubt I will. Don't worry about Speeddriven. Why would you pay that much for something your local exhaust shop can do for like 200 bucks?

See here.
