Nice kit, you are moving fast! As far as wheels, you need custom 3-peice forged wheels. I would never run a 3 inches spacers on the car with so much power apnd torque. We hpave several brands available. PM me if you are interested.

I think we have Strasse 3-Piece Wheels in stock that specifically were made for SL65 Black Series. All 3-piece wheels are pricey, so depends on your budget.

Nice looking car.
Your plan sounds great!
Can't wait to see the results with the Black Series kit on.
@@Ekselent Can you give more details on your custom intake, CAI and expansion tank setup maybe with pictures?
Also where did you source the HE coolers for the Black Series from?
Thx.

Looking at your specs so far:
My specs: DynoDynamic. 723 hp / 1230 Nm.("World record with Stock turbos").
- Eurocharged tune
- SL65 Bosch EV14 injectors
- Speedriven intercoolers
- Speedriven downpipes with 200 Cel cats.
- Titanium 3" exhaust system. Weight only 8,5 kg
- 2 BMW X5 intercooler circulation pump
- SL65 Black HE coolers
- Home made Intercooler expansion tank
- Own made 3" CAI + K&N filters
- Lot of own intake modifications
At the moment the Eurocharger tune is not correct. Run to lean.

An idea to make it truely better than original Black Series
Nice project.
I’ve been wondering if it is possible to fit R231’s 7 speed MCT into R230 65s. Originally Mercedes didn’t install MCT in 65s (including BS) due to incapability to handle such enormous torque. Now it’s been a decade and 63’s torque has increased from 640NM to 900NM. With 3rd party tuner you can get transmission enhancement to make it accompany torque surpasses 1000NM (Renntech E63 for example got 778 lb-ft / 1044NM ). Hence I believe durability is no longer a concern.
The R230 65BS still got 5 speed transmission with torque converter. Now if you can get a 7 speed MCT fit into your 65 then it will be a feature that is way better than 65BS.

MBWorld Fanatic!
When you buy a car, you buy it because you like a certain aspect of it. If you are keeping
the 65 stock because it may be worth more in the future then I can't see the point. I have a Prior
black series body kit on my 63 AMG, it looks great, and I get more comments on it than anything
else I have owned, stock SL's which I have had 5 just don't get the looks or the mentions.
So whish way do you want to go, why not sell the 65 and buy a cheap 55 or 63 and put the body
kit on them.

BS type of HE. Home made.
Expansion tank... the best solution for all CL and SL cars. The systeem Its bleed itself. No problem anymore with the IC air pocket problems.
Home made. This tank is the first B-proto type and the second one looks like OEM.
3" CAI systeem.
This is the whole 3" CAI kitt.... al the way 3" from the front. Made a lot more power at the engine. Its a big step.
These are adapters for 390mm brake setup. Much lighter than stock 65BS.

Hello, just a short question:
Do you think your Cold Air Intake Kit would also fit in a SL65 from the first series, without changing to the facelift lights?
Thank you!
By, the way: Best looking aftermarket CAI - I like the stealth look!
