At that mileage, either you get lucky and someone has overhauled all the lines/pump/accumulators, or you're getting someone's problems. Take it to a dealer to do a pre purchase inspection.

you have to take it to a dealer and get a complete cpo inspection, read the complete master dealer inquiry, and carfax

I just bought an '03 with 56k miles. Things that came up on my PPI include front bushings and ball joints, engine mounts starting to go, cracked and leaking rear 3rd brake light, trunk soft close not working. My ABC came out good - previous owner had replaced a couple of valve blocks and had a current fluid flush.
I already replaced the trunk struts and will be tackling the soft close lock and 3rd brake light next.
As far as the car itself is concerned, it is absolutely wonderful. More power than I know what to do with (and I'm going to get a tune for it), comfortable, easy to drive - everything I want in a GT car.

Engine and tranny wise they are pretty strong. But you almost have to do a PPI and I'd have it done MB shop or very well trusted independent shop that works on a lot of MB. It might be the best $150 to $200 you ever spend.
Like everyone said ABC the number one thing. PPI should point you to any current issues with it. Repairs with the ABC can run from cheap DIY work to thousands and thousands of dollars. In many cases the later.
With that age you have normal wear items that should be looked like the bushings and ball joints, motor mounts, brakes, etc. All things a good PPI can alert you to.
