Hello,
New to the forum. Just purchased a 2008 SL55 AMG with the P30 performance package. Black with Red Leather interior 67k miles. I know that these cars are rare but curious if anyone knows how many were produced with that color combo. Also would love if anyone can help with decoding the VIN so that I can get a list of all the options. Thanks for any help and I'll post pics as soon as it is delivered

Not many SL55's were made in 2008. Less than 500. No known data base to determine how many were produced in your color combo.
You can find your build sheet under the passengers side carpet.

I have been tracking the 2006 - 2008 SL55s specifically to try and get an idea of the percentage of P30 optioned cars. To date I have 180 cars that have been offered for sale in the last 18 months, mostly from autotrader and cargurus. Of the 180 13 have a red interior. 5 were black/red; 5 were silver/red; 2 were white/red; and 2 were red/red. Of the 180, 26 were optioned with P30. Also of the 180, only 36 were 2008 with 5 having P30 0ption. It may be possible that people who have the P30 do not sell them as often, so I realize these are very rough estimates. The 2007 SL55 I bought came up for sale on a Friday and I had a deposit on it Monday so they tend to sell pretty fast. Mine only had 30K on it and I got it at Mercedes of Birmingham where it had been serviced most of it's life. If anyone has more or different information I would appreciate it.

i have a 2008’black on black, p30, p1, with 2 piece twin spoke wheels. It sees to have all the options that were available at the time. The only bummer about this car is that they removed the auxiliary jack.…Any suggestions on how to play my iPod or iPhone.?
