2007 SL55 interior color Ash #218

Does anyone know if the color Ash, which is what my interior is called has a variety of other colors or names?

My steering wheel is a darker color than some of the prominent light colors, which are what I assume is the Ash color. Is the darker color Dark Palm Gray? The interior is kind of two-toned with light and dark grays.

Dark: Dash, center console, shifter, steering wheel, upper door panels

Light: Seats, carpet, underside of dash, lower door panels

See attached photo.

Any help would be appreciated in determining the name of these two colors.

Thank you

I also have the Light Grey Ash interior in my 2003 E500 and the darker color steering wheel, which I'm 99% sure is Palm Grey like you stated.

I've also found a color called Dark Alpaca Gray. Same color?

My Palm Grey steering wheel was in rough shape so I decided to wrap it with one of those Chinese leather steering wheel covers for now.
They didn't offer a grey cover so I went with the black one - I think the two tone look works for my car and the darker upper dash and center console elements.
Also changed out the airbag unit with a black one found on eBay.

Thank you okbarnett. My leather is in great shape, but I was thinking of searching for some of the leather items before they can't be found any longer. Steering wheel, shift knob, etc. Of all the interior parts that wear, the leather probably shows wear the most.

I would have to guess there are people that can recover these items fairly well, but I am a stickler for OEM if they can be had.

I don't know if this has already been covered, but if you plug your VIN into the EPC and then find the parts in question, it will give you the part number with the color code suffix included (for the ACTUAL color of that pat that was originally installed on your car).

If you need help with that, any Mercedes parts counter guy or online Mercedes "wholesale" supply will plug in your VIN and get the color specific numbers for you.
