2003 SL55 Sell Park or Part out?
I've had this car for over 10 year with no problems but getting really low offers from dealers and no real offers from indivual buyers. 73k I had extended warranty so a lot of stuff has been changed under warranty. No accidents and garage keep but it is a Lemon law buy back. the car is over 15 years old and lemon law is not printed on the title. Just when you run CarFAX.
Option 1
Just sell it for 12k to 14k
Option 2
Keep it parked in the garage and see.
Option 3
I've seen parts go for so much that if I can get enough people to want some major parts I can part the car out for more.
Just asking what the members here would do?
I don't need the money for the car but would like the parking space back. If parting out there is a shop that will take it for some parts if I can part out the big price items. Just a shame to see a perfect car get parted out that runs and drives great.

Where are you located?
Personally, I'd have a hard time chopping it up if there's nothing devastatingly wrong with it. Likewise I'd have a hard time parking it if I were done with it. If you're not desperate for the money, and I assume you're happy with what YOU got for your money the last 10 years... Go let someone get a really good deal on an awesome car who would really appreciate the opportunity. That'd be my input.

I'm in Dallas. Nothing wrong with it and just spent $3800 on both batteries, Service B and all belts and a new vacuum pump for the locks and some other maintenance items.
I don't mind someone getting a good deal with the car. I just don't want to let it go so a dealer or someone will just flip it for a profit if I let it go too cheap. I'm in no rush to sell nor do I need the proceeds of the sale but don't want to let someone just take it and make money on it.
I think the car is worth more than what I have been offered but that is just because I've owned the car so long.
I guess its best to just keep driving it on the weekends. Daily drive to the office is a grind but the drive home is nice when it is not hot.

I think if you clean it up real nice, make sure the ABC and trans have been recently serviced and are in working order you could get 16k - 18k. Or spend a few thousand, give it a tune, pulley, maybe nice wheels or exhaust and make it special again.

BringATrailer will pay you top dollar for a car that's been well maintained & service records.

Just keep it. Last year I tried to sell my CLS55 06 for $16K with few goodies and got only low ball. Decided to keep it for few years. As long you have garage spot just keep it.
