I recently purchased a 2008 SL65 AMG and the seller gave me this steering wheel as part of the deal. It is Alcantara on the sides and middle and has the flat top and bottom. I think I will leave my car stock for now. Just curious if anybody knows where it came from or what something like this is worth?
It has the paddles on the back but says Airbag on the lower part of it, not AMG. Thanks!

it likely is a wheel for a 2009-2011 R230 that someone had modified and re-covered. The air bag may or may not be R230 compatible (SLK and CLS used an identical looking bag that is electronically NON-compatible). The part number on the bag will tell the tale . It will likely read A230 860 XX02 if "XX" is 12,13,25, or 26 it is a CLS bag ... if "XX" is 11 or 24, it is an SLK bag (and, if it starts with A219 or A171 then is it also a CLS or SLK bag respectively).
Yep, the airbag is a "25" so it is not worth anything. Thanks for the help. I think I may mount it on my UTV!
It is not entirely useless, it will work in a CLS or, can be used in an R230 if you switch the electronics (N135) that is built into the other side (you would have to salvage it from an R230 airbag that has deployed . Don't toss it ... I'll give you $100 for it (the bag that is ... you keep the wheel)
