2008 SL 55 AMG Bumper Cover
A while back, I shredded the bumper cover on my '08 SL55.

I want to get a new one to replace, but I'm a little nervous about picking up an after market one that CLAIMS it fits '03-'08.

Did the facelift that occurred in '07 NOT affect the bumper cover? Can one work from '03 to '08... like this one: https://www.duraflexbodykits.com/200...-p-603703.html

Or am I better off getting one repaired and installed at my bodyshop... like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2008-M...53.m1438.l2649

Don't go aftermarket, fitment sucks, and you'll have to find a way to rig the foam support into the bumper. Do it right or do it twice.

Gotcha. So your vote is grab one that's in as good a condition as possible and have them fix it up?

thats not a amg style bumper, thats a regular sl cover. what do you have? plus its terrible , wait till you find a good one, and get the right one

Whoa! Is it really? Good save... I thought it looked like mine. What's the defining detail you use to determine?

I'll attach a pic of mine.

And I'm not too worried about the condition. My body guy is a miracle-worker. He can bring it back to life.

you dont give me a good picture, do you have grills or louvers on the sides, but at any rate these bumpers are easy to find, dont get one that needs 10 hours of body work, get one that is ready to paint.

No. The SL55 does not have vents on the side. I haven't been able to find replacement or used ANY WHERE. Got a site for me?

get the one exactly to your # because all the parts will be different if you get another. If you want a amg sport then you will need alot of other parts.
I would look at ebay

I have a sport bumper cover no parking sensors in very good condition.
Just sand and paint.No hardware.Please pm
