SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Crankshaft Pully TSB?




the harmonic balancer on the crank pulley split leaving him with no supercharger
belt. Separated the 2 pulleys. Crazy. The car has only ~100K and this sounds very suspect.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? If
so, is there a TSB on this? If not what did it cost to fix?
IMHO if he's gonna replace the pulley maybe throw and oversize pulley in.
What the most popular OD pulley for SL55?
I have the lowly 2.3L Kompressor and it's fairly easy to swap the pulley,
I run the ASP racing OD crank pulley. Had to swap it in and out several times for
reasons I'll not go into at this time.
Can the pulley be replaced DIY on SL55 without removing the radiator?
My friend seems to think it's necessary to remove the radiator.
