Transport Advice Requested
Good Morning
I just bought a 2008 SL55 that will be moved from TX to my NC home, about 1000 miles. It will be loaded in an open transport (but not on top closest to the tractor).
Are there any tie down issues I should be aware of? Anything special which should be done to improve the probability of the car arriving NC in the same condition it left TX?
Thanks
Bill

Yes, leaking car above it could damage paint. Make sure you have cash to pay the driver and do a thorough walk around. I would request they strap the tires and not the suspension. They can blow hydraulic components if they strap the body down too tightly.

Seriously, fly over and drive it.
Worth the trip and you will fall in love with the car!
