If anyone has any leads on a good example or is looking to sell, feel free to let me know! My search over the last 3 months has been largely fruitless thus far...
As far as a condition/value proposition I'm hoping to find something like a ~2005 with around 50k miles on the clock.
I have an 07 with the 030 Perf Pkg 67,500 miles 83 mm pulley, Belt wrap, VRP heat exchanger, seperate supercharger cooling .All stock parts included. Carfax shows damage Oct
2018. A block of wood hit the bottom of the bumper cover, replaced with the correct 030 bumper. No other damage F/R pads are new, Trans, coolant and rear end fluids changed in the last 1500 miles.
all service records, tires Front new, rears 60%. 2 flaws, door sills are scratched and dr's dr panel scuffed.

Thanks for that! Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of black, and as funny as it may sound to folks I'd actually rather not have the 030 package. Awesome ride though!
Having an both an e31 Bimmer and an SL55, I can confirm that the SL55 is an incredible ride.
Gary-
Heh, I wish I owned an E31!
That was a beautiful car, but I've pretty much been avoiding looking seriously on BaT because everything on there seems to sell with a fairly substantial markup, for reasons I don't quite understand.

Thanks!
I almost contacted 560SEC on his 07 before finding an 08 I liked more. 560"s is definitely well taken care of and I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on it if the price was right. The 030 package on his car is enticing, just be ready for the added maintenance expense associate with those brakes!
I purchased mine in Houston, saw another late model (07 or 08, definitely what you want) offered by the North Houston MB dealer last week. Not sure if it's still available, had less than 38k miles on it.
I don't know why people don't go for lease. There are multiple websites like cars.usnews or dsrleasing they offer the best minimum lease amount for new and old cars.
Yeah, it does feel like these cars have pretty much bottomed out depreciation-wise over the last few years. I don't think they'll ever go up, but I do think well-kept and low mileage examples will have a decent market and will be snapped up pretty quickly.
Fingers crossed, I'm getting close to finalizing the purchase of a 2008 myself.
How much are you asking for it and where are you located ?
