See if your flaps are fully in the closed position. Mine sometimes are not and it stops the trunk lid from closing

Anyone knows witch two wires I need to jump( short) to get car think flap is up. I can unplug the wire ti the microswitch plug. There are three wires I guess two are + the other ground
if someone has some pics of the plug and witch two need to be jumped..
I know no other way to test microswitch for the roof.

Our mechanic told us that you can only operate the flaps with a STAR system.

I presume this has been figured out::

On the right-side connector short socket #1 of the 4-socket switch connector to chassis ground. Socket #1 has a white/black wire to it.

No.

There is a 14-socket electrical connector located by the motor to the hydraulic pump. The flap drive motor is wired to male sockets #5 and #6 of the connector. Separating the connector and applying twelve volts will open/close the flaps depending on the polarity of the connection.

Can someone walk me through testing the micro switches by the flaps with a meter?
Pictures are preferable ,sadly I am more of a visual guy rather than reading instructions just get confused.

?
Ok I tested the micro switches they work. how to I see if the wire going to the pump is not torn is there a picture of the connector at the pump so I can test continuity. the flaps work perfectly but star says either one of the microswitches is open(tested not open) or wire torn. I assume wire is going to the pump no sure. WHere does the white black wire go from the micro switch on the passenger side.

Fixed , it was the black and white wire from the microswitch , had to rerun the wire from the switch into the trunk about 4 feet all said.
roof closed after 3 months finally
now the sbc will call MB and see if under warranty.
