I had situation where I was driving and got to my destination. I attempted to shift into reverse to back into the parking spot but was unable to move past neutral. I fiddled around with some things and found what looked to be a switch above a hex bolt which was located under the shift boot on the front side of the shifter. I pressed it with a back with a pen and was able to get back into park.
I'm now unable to engage a gear now and am using the parking brake to keep the car from rolling.

I just wanted to know if this was the shift lock? I wanted to move the car back into the garage instead of having it sit in the driveway. I was late for work, so I didn't have time to figure it out.
