SL55 AMG Acting Up at Stops
My car started fine and drove fine for about 15 minutes then at stop lights it would hesitate and seem to slip and over rev. Finally, at the next light it would not go forward and engine revved like it was not in gear. Changing gear selector from D to N to R or park made no difference. A friendly motorist helped push the car out of any danger. I left the car (due to business meeting) for about 3 hours. It started up and went in gear as normal. What is going on? I can't trust this car this way.

Yeah, tried all you suggested.
A friend had a code reader and it said the accelerator sensor was shot.
Got new one from MB dealer 100 mi away the next day and got it installed by a local indy mechanic.
He also updated needed programming. Overall cost was about $820.00
