SL colors
I am looking for a used SL55, so I searched around, and what I found was only either BLACK, SILVER, or RED. Are these the best color for SL?

The best is a matter of personal taste. There are 2 types of silver....brilliant and diamond. I have one for sale on autotrader.com if you are interested. They made a mistake on the mileage...it only has 9300.

50% of the cars coming out of the plant are silver, 20% are black and the remaining 30% is mostly accounted for by the dozen or so other standard colours. If depreciation matters to you, I'd be wary of straying beyond silver, black, blue.

The Jasper blue with cream leather makes a nice combination.I had one for a year and was pleased with it . The Jasper/grey leather is good too.
I now have black.

I have an Obsidian Black which is great. I was going to get it in pewter first but then backed out because I seemed too risky to purchase a car like that on a just seeing a 2 square-inch color swatch in a brochure...
Turns out a friend bought a SL55 in Pewter and it is awesome. Great color, nicer than silver and very practical (stays clean longer than 10 seconds )

depreciation is a concern obviously to some of us, the other issue is keeping the car looking clean. I have brilliant silver and it is very easy to keep clean, the darker the colour the harder it is.
also dark colour can make the car look smaller
