Differential question on SL55

I have an 05 SL55 without the P30 package. It is tuned, 77mm pulley, extra heat exchanger and upgraded pump. So burning rubber isn’t an issue- however I’m surprised it leaves 2 stripes on the road without the P30 package. Do they all spin both tires? Otherwise maybe previous owner added LSD.

I have the same year and same configuration, except with an 83mm pulley. Our cars don’t have LSD, so both rear wheels spin at the same speed regardless of grip. On even pavement, you’ll see similar tire marks.

Having a limited slip differential means that both wheels spin at the same speed when the differential is “locked” up. Independent rear suspension cars don’t suffer from axle twist or lift like sold axle cars do. In a solid axle car the counter torque of the driveshaft /engine, lifts the right rear wheel, in irs cars that twisting force is negated because the differential and the engine are mounted to the body not suspension. The car doesn’t twist and both tires recurve close to the same amount of traction so both spin and leave marks.
