Anti-lock brake question
I have an 04 SL55 and I can lock my brakes up. Usually on my M3 when I apply firm pressure the ABS kicks in and You get the "Bap-Bap-Bap" and no tire squeeling. I don't get the "Bap-Bap-Bap" and I lock the tires up at any speed with the SL55 and was wondering if the anti-lock breaking system is defective or is this normal for our car.
What do you folks think?

With the SBC braking system, the brake pedal is not connected to the main hydraulic circuit, only a backup one, so you don't feel any pulsing through the brake pedal, in fact you get no feedback at all about what is happening which is my major gripe about it. The pedal resistance you feel to the brake pedal is actually the resistance of a couple of springs and a pyramid shaped rubber bung.
If you can lock up the wheels (which would also mean you couldn't steer the car), there's something wrong with it. Are you leaving black marks on the road?
If you can lock up your wheels, it's got to be faulty...
