My MB dealer told me I need a new ABS hydraulic pump, mine has failed at the tune o $4,200.00 plus tax. It a 2005 with 91,000 miles system has been working good up to two weeks ago.
Is there a place where on can get an overhauled exchange pump? I did that on my two forward struts and saved a few bucks.

If not covered, (because it is not a "complete" failure of the SBC?) you should be able to buy a rebuilt SBC unit (with ABS pump) from Mercedes for less than $800

however, If it is the ABC pump (tandem pump)
It appears you can buy it directly from Mercedes for $1050

I bought a reman one off rockauto.com years ago for my car, spent less than $250 on the part, it still puts out 190 bar and passes a rodeo with flying colors. I believe it was an AC Delco reman. There are cheaper options out there than OEM, which are reman anyway at this point, don't let the dealer rip you off unnecessarily.
