Just sold my '11 Porsche TurboS cab for an '03 SL55!
The valve block rebuilds are worthless as all they do is change the seals. None of these suppliers are able to test these blocks so if there are other faults, they won't catch them. Better to properly diagnose any valve block issues and if no issues, don't touch them, otherwise, you can pull the individual valves out and look for seal failure (it will be quite obvious) but that is really an unlikely failure mode. If no obvious seal failures, then buy a new OE valve block. All other options are a poor crap shoot, and there's a fair amount of time involved in R&R'ing these blocks. I screwed around with one for way too long before biting the $$ bullet and replacing my rear block for something like $1450 if I recall.
