Rear trunk panel/fascia
I had some work done on the folding top and the technician removed some panels (while I was not present). The work was incomplete (long story) but now I am trying to replace the panels. This is in reference to the furthest aft panel along the back of the trunk wall (nearest the latch/bumper/etc...).
In the attached pictures you will see that (when I was trying to re-assemble) I found a power plug that I had never noticed before (5 years of ownership :-(). I do not know if it was ever hot or not. It seems to be missing its "guts". I also found a plug that I don't know where it is supposed to go.
Due to location, I am assuming that the plug should go to the power socket BUT the socket has no where to attach the plug? Also, I'm a little concerned about leaving a plug (which seems to have some higher amp/gauge wires attached) floating around in the trunk.
Does anyone have experience:
1. Can you confirm this plug goes to this socket?
2. Is this an option (maybe it never had the "guts/inners"?
3. Are the "inners available" for a plug/play with the socket?
4. Is it "safe" to allow the plug to float around back there?
