2005 SL 55 Audio System
I purchased the window sticker from Alpina Ltd. They have excellent service!
Following is the audio section of the window sticker. So do I have a Satellite Radio? Where is the "shark fin" antenna?

Your car was not made with a phone connector, voice control (Linguatronic) or Satellite radio. What it has is something MB called "prewiring." Do not confuse that with plug and play ready, it is not. I can give you a perspective on what it takes to add these items but it would be better to start with a new head unit that has all these capabilities built in.

My 2005 SL600 had all those options factory installed. My 2006 S65 had the same pre-wiring setup as your car so I had the dealer install those three items, it was a fair amount of work. If the car had the factory satellite radio what you would discover is the receiver from the 2005 era will not tune the expanded channel lineup. As I recall it only tunes up to channel 99, Sirius-XM expanded the channels from just 99 up to 460 around 2007 or 2008. My 2009 SL600 has a new design built in Satellite receiver for the complete channel lineup but in cannot be retrofit into the older head unit in the 2005.
