SL55 AMG
Engine compartment trim question

Can anyone advise on repairing this loose material? I couldn’t just slip it back under the trim piece. Wondering if the typical problem is that the trim loses grip when it gets old or the material needs to be softened with heat or steam and tucked back in.

Mine does this as well. I have not been able to fix it either. I was thinking of just removing it.

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
they all look like that. replace it and it will probably end up the same after a couple years
