18" Spare tire hunt

https://www.ebay.com/itm/20481723623...3ABFBMnP3r-Ihk

I understand this is the correct space saver tire for my 2004 with 18's. (although my vin is not marked for spare tire delete, I don't have one and do have the cover that fits exactly in the space)
Question #1 - I have read it's possible even this rim may not fit over the front brakes - curious if anyone can confirm that.
Question #2 would this spare fit ? Same bolt pattern and it sure looks close

https://www.ebay.com/itm/15616180329...Bk9SR4TZpvaIZA

Thanks

Update I ordered the Porsche one so I will let everyone know the answer to #2. If it fits seems like a lower cost alternative. Plus it's red.

That's a 19 intended for 07-11 SL65. My rims are 18 on a 2004 SL55

Yeah I found that too. The red wheel is on the way so results will be posted. As mentioned if this works could be a good remedy for us sl55 peeps. If not, then I have a nice wall decoration.

So does it fit ? YES ! I got it for $94 plus shipping so like $130 and it's brand new. These wheels are all over Ebay.

Great thinking, I never would have thought to check out the Macan spare. I’m also on the lookout for a good spare to use that isn’t 20 years old on my SL55.

Question though, have you inflated it yet? I see that it clears the brakes, but I think it might be too tall to use on the SL55.
I believe that the OEM SL55 spare is 175/55-18 and the Macan in your pic is a 195/75-18. I think that the Macan one might be too tall when inflated.

But I have never used or measured a space saver before, I don’t know if they measure like a regular tire once inflated or not.
Would like to know its inflated diameter before I buy one myself.

Yeah I tested it. Works fine. It's a donut spare and nothing like a regular tire.

That’s great news, Was it much taller than your regular wheel?

It is exactly the same size wheel as OEM. The tire makes no difference, it's a fraction of the sidewall height of a normal tire. Case closed.
Although I did notice my 2005 SL500 leave in California car has the official MB donut, air pump and spacer. That will not be sold with the slow SL ha.

Do you have a picture of it inflated next to your 18" stock wheel?

I just think that your Macan tire will be way too tall, and not fit under your fender if you actually had to use it.
I will cross my fingers that you never have to use it IRL.
