SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: 18" Spare tire hunt
I understand this is the correct space saver tire for my 2004 with 18's. (although my vin is not marked for spare tire delete, I don't have one and do have the cover that fits exactly in the space)
Question #1 - I have read it's possible even this rim may not fit over the front brakes - curious if anyone can confirm that.
Question #2 would this spare fit ? Same bolt pattern and it sure looks close

Thanks
Update I ordered the Porsche one so I will let everyone know the answer to #2. If it fits seems like a lower cost alternative. Plus it's red.

Question though, have you inflated it yet? I see that it clears the brakes, but I think it might be too tall to use on the SL55.
I believe that the OEM SL55 spare is 175/55-18 and the Macan in your pic is a 195/75-18. I think that the Macan one might be too tall when inflated.
But I have never used or measured a space saver before, I don’t know if they measure like a regular tire once inflated or not.
Would like to know its inflated diameter before I buy one myself.
Although I did notice my 2005 SL500 leave in California car has the official MB donut, air pump and spacer. That will not be sold with the slow SL ha.
