Limited Slip Differential for SL55 by AMG Manufaktur

I am proud to announce that Limited Slip Differiential for the SL55 will be available from our company in the spring of 2005. It is the LSD made by AMG Unique Manufacturing and will be available in a very limited quantity. Now you can add the LSD to the SL55 and enjoy the traction that the car should have come with. What could be better than to get a LSD developed and made by AMG directly?

Also available for the SL55 is the AMG SL65 F1 front bumper, SL65 Titanium color (or custom color) Style IV multi-piece wheel in 19's, Carbon Fiber interior trimming and AMG F1 steering wheel.

We are the ONLY vendor in North America who can obtain these very special hard to find products. For ordering information, please contact me directly.

OK, so are you going to replace the rear end with a 2.65:1 gear? or is this a rear end mod to get LSD and leave it at 2.82:1? Will this also work for the SL600 which is 2.65:1 like the SL65? What the cost?

I personally have an SL600 with the 2.65:1 rear end in it. I'm looking to just make it LSD. If I have an SL55, I surly would think it over on going taller. So I am asking if this offer is basically the SL65's rear end, which is 2.65:1 LSD. Or is it parts that work with the SL55’s 2.82:1 or the SL600’s 2.65:1. Does this mode require machining like other mods to LSD do etc….Need more info!

Dude this is a 6 year old thread. I lost $4.5k when this guy went out of business still promising me the LSD for my SL55. In later checking with a good friend and supplier, who is well factory connected, I was assured that AMG was adamant they would not sell these diffs aftermarket. Hence the point was proved when Harris was never in the end able to obtain one right up till the time he went out of business some 8 months after 'ordering' me one...
