SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: CD player eject Problem

COMAND CD player in dash won't eject the CD.
Guessing it may be a microswitch.
Any help is appreciated, THX, MK19
…one other thing..adding all the associated costs is a real fools errand and Mom didn’t raise a real fool, part time maybe, but I wanted tunes..and I knew it was what it took.
i did get a rescue with a 90 day return so there was that…the pull and reinstall was about a five hour job. Hope you have as good a roll as I did…cheers,RE

I was able to fix my COMAND CD ejection issue. I guessed it was mechanical or a limit switch not making contact. So, before buying a used unit on eBay, I thought I'd pull mine and see what I could see. Nothing to lose.
I put it on my bench, I pulled the top lid (snaps off easily), and after using my VOM to see which pins we 12V and ground, (not a tough guess big red/yellow hot, big brown ground) I powered it up with my old-style battery charger, turned it on and pressed eject, and it tried eject, but it seemed that the CD would get stuck about half way out. I couldn't see the problem but could "help" the CD out. After a while I set things aside and slept on it.
The next day, I started at it again, repeated the eject process several times but did notice that if I press eject a second time it might get the CD out (never happened in the car??). So, I pulled the player out of the main housing (4 screws, easy) and looked for issues. About that time, having set the CD on edge in front of me, I noticed some scrub marks on its bottom surface the at several radial locations as though there was a roller skidding on it (Ah Ha a clue). playing with it some more and looking for that roller, I couldn't see it but inside of the loading slot with the disc stuck half out is a grey plastic bar, almost like a scraper, running the full width of the slot. You can't see this with the unit in the car. Got a long Q tip with some IsoP Alcohol and scrubbed it hard, holding it open with the swab I could see it was a fairly hard rubber, almost like a scraper. That did it. Tested and tested before reinstalling everything, and after getting it plugged into the dash and at each reassembly step to be sure I wasn't going to have to disassemble it all again. But it seems to be working fine.
I'll let you know if it stops.
