Only once in a while, when the radio system is started and there is a blasting static noise emitted. Then after turning the radio on and off the static noise is replaced with music. Anyone else have this issue? I’m hating the thought of replacing the system…Thanks for any advise

Unless it's impossible to live with, live with it. You may have an amp going bad, you can find working replacements on flea bay. I say live with it because it's a chore to access that amp behind your seat.
I replaced my head unit with a Chinese android one, it's not horrible but hours of work. If you don't DIY, most stereo places will want to remove the whole fiber setup.
