Exclamation sl 65 - Disc rotors

Hello @ all

Unfortunately I can not write about "how to spend 300 mio" or "should I wear my black Versace leather suit with brown Manolos ? :p .... I only can report something about technical issues with the SL65 ...

SO here we go;

Since I received the car - there was a slight vibration on the steering when I used the breaks only slightly at low speeds - and I was complaining at the MB dealer immediately, mid of July. So they agreed to change the discs (cause this should be the reason for this). Therefore I had no problems to use the car on different race tracks within Europe. (and he performed not that bad at all) Of course the usage of pads and discs was noticeable !

TODAY - they changed the rotors and pads, after I used them for more than 23.000 km - because there was no supply in the spare parts. ( I almost can not believe this) On the warranty invoice there was a huge Euro amount printed, and I was happy that I did not have to sign for it.

After the visit today, I learned that the first series of disc rotors had some problems. SO, check your discs - brakes, maybe you have the same problem after a few 1000 miles

wish you all a nice weekend

Walter

Attached a few pics of a set of new discs & pads on a 23.000 km SL65 - THANK YOU MB/DC/AMG

Interesting - the only brake issue I've had so far is my right rear rotor is blue. I wrote that off to some serious traction control intervention
