SL on tour ....
Hello @ all ....
When I was "on tour" with my SL, I always had the impression, that the trunk was too small. Then I reduced the number of pieces - and changed the brand of my bags. Now I have enough capazity and everything fits. Even the sparewheel compartment is ready to take one tailure made bag. :p
no I am not working for LV......
nice weekend
Walter

Holy smoke! Are you saying all of those things fit in your SL?
If you were to ask me based on your picture, I would guess at best you might be able to get half of that stuff stored (with the trunk open)
If that is the case you got to get us more pictures.
It would be a good add for Mercedes-Benz saying "what trunk space problem?" to a everyone who says that the SL suffers from a lack of trunk space.

Hello Chris
Let me explain you as well, how I pack these items in the car. Beginning from left to right; Big piece for suits – in the trunk, second as well in the compartment, third behind the seat, fixed with the luggage belt, hard case in the spare wheel compartment, the rucksack on the right side of the trunk, and camera bag stored as well behind the driver seat. As well see attached picture – of course it was not possible to open the roof with all this inside. (only if I would have taken the second bag from left – inside the car – it would have been possible.
Hope this explanation is sufficient for you.
Kind regards from France
Walter

Amazing Walt. This will make me think twice before I say to myself "I can't take the SL because everything won't fit".
Really sweet car by the way
