SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: How long is the wait time for ordered SL55's?

How long is the wait time for ordered SL55's?
Hello all,
Well, it surprises me to ask this but I never think too much information is a bad thing. My husband and I are supposed to pick up his SLK55 tomorrow but have just found out that we can very possibly do the SL instead of the SLK. We haven't had time to really discuss it at all but I am wondering how long the wait is for the 2005 SL55 if we have to special order it? This will likely lead to nothing as I think my husband NEEDS his car now after waiting a year for it but I appreciate any help you can offer.

Not sure about the wait time for a special order but what is the reason it needs to be special ordered? There are new SL55's everywhere and most have decent options. I guess if you desire an unusual color combo you might be out of luck.

We like the various light blue colors and the dealerships have all the black or silver you want but if it's a color other than that you have to order it.

We picked up our SLK55 today
Hi all,
Well, it appears we are the owners of the ONLY orion blue SLK55 in the United States. We decided to get the SLK now and decide later if we want the SL. We also have a beast wagon aka E55 on order. Thanks for your help!
