2015 SL63 Service Results

I just did a transmission, brake and oil change before I store my 2015 SL63. The shop noticed 3 things and quoted me on them (I am in Toronto Canada). Crankshaft plug leaking ($169 to repair), PCV leaking ($1070 to repair), right rear shock wet ($5,142 to repair)...the shock looks a little damp so I'm going to ignore it for now, and I know the cranksaft leak is a big problem (on the M157) that needs to be fixed so I will. Should I do the PCV?...my car has 30,000 kilometers on it. Things are just wet, not dripping.

Your 2015 SL63 is outside the 2002-2011 range of this section of the forum. You may want to repost in the section for newer AMG cars.
I would get any PCV problems fixed as they can get worse. First, if the PCV is completely clogged, the buildup of pressure in the engine can blow out seals. (Hmmm maybe that is why your crankshaft plug leaked?). Next if the PCV system is "too open" the engine can start burning excessive oil and cause you to run low on oil at a very inconvenient time.
I don't know the part cost and labor for replacing a rear shock on your car, but $5142 sounds excessive. I suspect most of that is the price of a new shock from MB. I would look into finding a rebuilt one. You could pay for the rebuild and the "core", get the new one installed and then return the core for a refund. On our earlier (R230) cars with the ABC shocks, the cost of a rebuild is around $1000 USD; don't think they are even still available new, but when they last were, IIRC it was around $3000 USD.
