... which using AMG's 19% driveline loss figure puts us at:
670 HP & 880 FT/LBS !!
Now, the details: it's a cool rainy day here in NorCal, and I've put about 80 miles on the car since installing the RENNTech ECU. Over at ATP dyno in Fremont, we were once again unable to get a tach reading for the car, but we calibrated RPM to MPH in 3rd and 4th so that we could reconstruct the TQ values later.
The SL made three flawless runs back to back, each one within 1 HP of the other two. Two pulls were in 3rd gear, one in 4th, and no significant power difference was noted. Coolant temp etc. never changed during the runs, and the car was allowed to cool down for 3-5 minutes between each pull. CF for the runs was 0.98, meaning that actual RWHP was 556

The small burn out after driving around the water box was with TC off. Without puting the car in Dyno mode it will not let you do a large burnout at a stop. It will if yo let the car roll.
Once Ben gets some uns in on the drag radials we will see the true potential of the SL65.
