Aston owner thinking of 2014 SL 63
Hi, a former Mercedes driver who defected to Aston needs advice please! Thinking of trading my AM Vantage for a 2014 SL 63 with only 4500 miles. I've seen the car in the dealers, test drive tomorrow. I wonder what extras I should expect. Also this is a 537 bhp car and my research tells me that around 2014 this was superseded by the 585 bhp model.
I'm sure that 537 bhp will be enough for me. But thinking of when I sell It in 3-4 years, will it be less desirable? Should I wait for a 585 bhp car in my price range?
Thanks

I looked at AM for a long time. I didnt buy one for multiple reasons. Since then I have had all 3 generations of the SL. If you buy a SL I think you will like it immensely more than the AM. The car you are looking at is probably a straight SL63, with 530hp, the performance pkg gets 557hp. the newer 2015 gets 577hp
I would say to look at cars with more options, this one probably doesnt have many if it doesnt have the perf pkg, theres plenty of good SL s out there

Thanks, that's really helpful. The car appears to have as extras the driver assistance package, including park assist and reversing camera, active body control, COMAND, electric wind deflector, DAB etc but not the performance package as you say. Sorry if some of these features were standard in 2014, it's a bit hard to sort out what's what on the UK MB used website.
I will drive the car but try to keep an open mind. As you say, there seem to be lots of SLs out there ( unlike Aston!).

if you are in england, I know standard options are alot different. The abc, command, wind, is all standard here I know euro cars are more bare from the start.
