Hi guys, I just picked up a 2013 SL63 beautiful 1 owner car, P30 performance package, P01 Premium Package, magic sky roof, driver assistance package, 19/20 inch forged package, soft close doors. I am trying to find out how many were made like this, or at least how many 2013 SL63 with performance package were made. The only thing i've been able to find is 7,007 SL were sold in USA for 2013. I'm guessing only 10% are SL63 AMG and of those maybe 25% with performance package?
Anyone?

nice looking car. I have been looking for one in the '13 to '17 range. I don't see the pp listed on anything but the '13 cars, did the later models have the pp or were certain elements moved to the included list?
Hope you get an answer. I am finding most of the dealers don't really have anyone with much knowledge about the SL, esp. the 63.

I'm not sure about which years had the performance package as an option. Also not sure which items got moved to the included list. From what I have been able to gather on the 2013 the performance package included:

More horsepower and torque
Performance steering wheel with flat bottom and Dinamica inserts
Mechanical locking differential
Red brakes
carbon fiber engine cover
carbon fiber rear spoiler
186 MPH speed limiter

Maybe there are other things I haven't discovered yet. I totally agree, there is very limited knowledge about the SL around. After owning mine for about a week I discovered I could not get the Race Start to engage. I read everything I could find including forums, the paper operators manual and the electronic operators manual.
Youtube searches also failed. Finally took it to my dealer, they had it for three days (guessing they had to call Affalterbach lol). Dealer reset a code that had to do with the clutch and then performed clutch learning procedure. Works perfect now.

Still have yet to be able to determine the production or sales numbers for 2013 SL63 AMG

you can pick up in low 50's

I think they later included it in the base SL63 car, however my '14 does list the P30 as a separate line item.

I would guess fewer than 10% AMG, but more than 25% of the AMG had the P30. But we're all guessing here.

EDIT: Just did a cruise through Autotrader... 315 non AMG, 54 SL63, and 6 SL65 for sale. Not production numbers, but at least gives some idea. so figure 60/375 = 15-16% AMGs.

I recently purchased a very similar one to yours--2013 black, black wheels, red calipers, Can't see your interior, but mine has red, all options except the carbon brakes and Olufson Bang (sp) stereo system. It was a CPO at RBK MB in Atlanta with 23K miles. I bought 2 additional years of CPO.

Can't buy in low 50s with the Performance Pkg. I looked nationwide for a couple of months before buying one in Atlanta, CPO, loaded, for low 60s.

stats dont mean much for newer mass production cars. If you like one, buy it, when you sell it you are going to lose. So blame it on the stats

Ditto on that. I looked over the whole market for 10 weeks and found very few good cars with all the options less than mid 60'.
PP, B&0, less than 15k, CPO. Love the car as I did my 07.Hard to beat for all around appeal.
In the end I scored one from a dealer who was about to wholesale, got all the options above for 61.

Only problem is I got the but for an SLS now....

Haha on SLS. You got a great deal if you also got Premium P01 Pkg and Driver Assistance Pkg with that low of miles and B&O. Wow!
