Premature failure of rear ABC shocks
Has anyone else had any issues with ABC system or components failure with extremely low miles?

I would think you would notice the leaking either in ride characteristics or fluid on the floor. If you have a way to get under the car, it may be worth inspecting.
good luck

My new to me one is the same
see my thread today ABC Suspension Wheel and Tyre easily lift
On delivery to me from a MB dealership at about 20600 miles registered Jan 2015 it had to go straight into a local MB garage. They found the offside rear leaking which was odd as fine on test and then had a MOT but when it arrived it had lots of suspension noise.
After changing that rear one even more noise whatever read by thread
Today the near 2 inches of travel by simply push the nearside wheel up when on a car ramp I am told would not be a problem as the cars weights on it.
That’s not true as over any bump especially a big bump the weight is lifted for milliseconds and a shock absorber is miss named it should be damper or spring restrainer as that’s its real function
So now both are being changed......Perhaps as with coiland damper they should be changed in pairs or even all 4?
In the UK ABC is seen to mean Always Bloody Costly and that’s the only family friendly version I have heard quite a few others this month GRIN
Still MB Warranty covered the cost of the first one leaking and them again or seller this one. Takes 5-10 days to get one from Germany after all this it will have been in and out of MB garages etc for 2 months and I have driven it on 2 days and those weeks apart.
It has a few problems that it did not have on the test run and the selling dealership has promised verbally to cover all cost so I cannot simply return the car as unfit
