Trunk opens but doesn't close
The automatic trunk closing on my 2013 SL63 has suddenly stopped working. The auto open works fine. If you close it manually, it will auto-latch. But the button on the trunk itself, nor the button on the fob, nor the button on the driver's door will close it. The latter two work to open the trunk, and the button on the trunk that closes the trunk and locks it will still lock the doors. When the trunk button is pressed, there is a noise that comes from the latch area of the trunk but nothing visibly happens.
Any ideas?

also check the manual release pull ... it may be engaged; do you have a spare key in the trunk? Your motor may be shot.
