'13 SL63 Ventilated Seats mod?

I did a quick search and found one thread from 10 years ago. My first MB and am wondering if there is a mod to improve the vented seats. It's the first option on the car that I feel is pretty sub par. To the point where I feel certain that some fans aren't working or are just old??! Hoping for a upgraded fan kit to make them useful in the summer heat.

The general theme is that people are underwhelmed by ventilation versus cooling. There’s a few posts from a long time ago, where people will shave out the fan surround in the seat and add a stronger fan. I’ve not tried this, but conceptually it works, and it’s not terribly difficult to get to the seatback seat fans. The seat bottom is more difficult. Additionally, remember that these fans suck the air through the seat, they don’t blow air at the passenger. The idea is that you are pulling the conditioned air through the seat…. Which doesn’t help if the roof is opened, but it will keep the heat out of the seat..

Ahhh - did not know that and have been underwhelmed and confused by 3 settings that never 'blow' more air... Appreciate the insight and guess I'll just live with it

I feel no cooling difference with the dash fan/seat bottom control turned on or off, three blue lights or one.
