Factory CD-Changer Option
MBUSA has just announced the introduction of a factory-installed CD Changer option for select MY03 passenger cars. MSRP will be $400 and is available on all C-/CLK-/S-/SLK-Classes and E-Class Wagon (S210). Code 819 is the option. …RAB

uh.... If it was on the web site, I wanted to read more about it. I looked there and couldn't find anything so I thought you might know where there was more information, if it was on the web.

It's about time. I bought CD changers for my last two SLKs at M-B dealers in Germany. Both cost me around $325, including the hefty 16% sales tax.
Here, the changer lists for $750, not including tax or the mounting kit. There's no reason for it to cost that much. Except for the fiber optics, the M-B CD changer is as basic as you can get. Feature-wise, it competes with changers in the $200 range.
Good to know MBUSA has finally come to their senses. I've commented on this subject on every survey I've ever received from MBUSA, JD Powers, etc.
