Honestly, I don't think the rims fit on the SLK--maybe an S but not the SLK--at least a pre-01 SLK. One more thing you can do is to add a body kit because the black underside of your SLK is clashing with the chrome rims and the silver body. To me, it's like having three colors. You seem to be pretty much well off--why not spend a little on a body kit to give you car a consistent "silver" look from top to bottom and it looks great. If you do get a body kit, please show the pics of your car and then we'll see how to rims will look.

what i was gonna do was just get the black underskirt painted brilliant silver
either way,, i will post pics within a few weeks while i get this done..

WOW, i can't believe i just read through 6 pages of bash, discussion, bash, and then discussion. You guys are really keeping it gentlemen like. 
now, my thoughts on the rim. EEWW, please take that off, and get some AMGs, Brabus, Carlssons, or Lorinsers. I'm sure that those brand name rims will look much better on your car, and maybe even less expensive.
you definitely need to paint those black skirts, or better, get some new bodykits.

Ugly.... and I don't know if those attentions you are getting are the one's you want.....
