hey, i was wondering,,,,,,,does anyone here know ofa place or a way to repair a "chipped" or "scuffed" chrome rim?

i have an slk and an e-class,,, the e-class has chrome wheels and one of them made friends with a curb and is now chipped a bit..

jay_slk,

From what I know about the chroming process, there is no way to "fix" a chipped area. The wheel would have to be totally stripped of chrome and re-chromed. I guess if you just wanted to keep it from chipping off more chrome, you could seal it with some type of clear coat product.

Maybe others will have more experience than I with chrome wheels.

Later,

Shaummy

jay_slk,

You might want to ask this question in the wheel and Tire forum not in the SLK one. Maybe you will get more responses there.

Just a thought.
