Sapphire Blue
Has anyone out there seen a Sapphire Blue SLK in person? Or does anyone have any photos of one? I'm trying to decide on a color but I don't want to just go by the brochure paint chip printout.

'02 SLK32 AMG
There's a guy at work with a 2001 SLK320 Sport in Sapphire Blue. I think Sapphire is not as flashy as Bahama, but it's a lighter shade of blue and it's too light for my tastes.
The following link has literally hundreds of pictures of blue SLKs.
Check out page 12. I believe nearly every pic on that page is Sapphire. Pages 13 and 14 show pics of both Bahama and Sapphire.

2005 SLK 55
We really love our Firemist SLK. It's a very rich colour and turns a lot of heads. We're considering a new SLK and both agree that, given the current colour palatte, we would stick with the Firemist. Just my 3.2 cents (2 cents US).

Since i bought this car in germany it's color is called linarteblue but i think its just the same!

SLK32 AMG Bahama Blue
staciblevins, I agree with Brian about the Sapphire blue being too light (at least for my tastes). It's a very different colour, and definitely attracts attention, though. I'd say the same about the Firemist - it's not my style, but it definitely turns heads. I'm too conservative for either of these colours, I guess.
Donald is right about Pr0wler's car - it's what we call Bahama Blue over here. I have a '98 230 and an '02 AMG in Bahama Blue - I love the colour!
The Pewter is an interesting colour choice - I think it looks very nice in this shade.
But, go with your gut instinct. You're the one that has to be happy with your choice, so get the colour that makes you smile.
