SLK/R170: almost out of warranty

'97 red miata (for sale)/ '03 red slk230
almost out of warranty
my '03 slk230 is within 3,000 miles of finishing the factory warranty--any suggestions on what I should hit the dealer with before it expires? My next oil change isn't due for over 6,000 miles.
Any ideas as to when the shocks should be replaced?
I've never paid any attention to the filters-is there aftermarket filters for either air or oil--or is this all factory parts?

If your warranty covers Supercharger and mechanical parts, you should carry it as they're prone to fail unexpectedly. You could do it anytime before the warranty ends or your premium might be higher. Oil change on this car could be done with any Mercedes Specialist mechanic and it doesn't really have to be at the Dealer. It just costs less this way!
You could buy really good K&N Air filter from eBay or if not, you could special order it at Napa or Kragen Parts. Oil filters are better from Mercedes.
